About this document
Pallivasal Hydroelectric Project Overview by Rinu Jaison is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Pallivasal Power Plant is the first power plant in Kerala, inaugurated in 1940. Water from the Kundala Dam flows through tunnels and penstocks to drive six generators with a total capacity of 34.5 MW. The plant uses a SCADA system to automatically control operations. When a fault occurs, alarms sound and messages display the issue. Generators unload and circuit breakers open for an emergency shutdown.
