About this document

Oil Adsorption on API-X100 Steel in CO2 by Frontiers is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This research explores the adsorption of oil onto pipeline steel surfaces in CO2-saturated solutions using electrochemical methods. The authors constructed adsorption isotherms from corrosion inhibition efficiencies at different oil concentrations and temperatures to examine the validity of the Langmuir adsorption theorem. Polarization and impedance measurements showed that corrosion rates increased with temperature as oil inhibition decreased less efficiently. The results provide insight into natural corro
