What is Predicting Vision Recovery in EON about?

This study investigates the relationship between retinal layer thickness and vision recovery in patients with ethambutol-induced optic neuropathy (EON). It finds that a reduction in the ganglion cell layer plus inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) thickness is significantly associated with decreased visual acuity recovery after stopping ethambutol. The results suggest that early assessment of GCIPL damage can help predict visual prognosis in EON patients.
