1) The study aimed to determine the hypoglycemic effect of different fractions of Mollugo oppositifolia Linn. plant extracts in alloxan-induced diabetic rats. 2) Male Sprague-Dawley rats were induced with diabetes using alloxan and treated with hexane, chloroform, 2-butanol or methanol extracts of M. oppositifolia for 35 days. 3) Blood glucose levels were measured and extracts showing hypoglycemic effects were subjected to phytochemical analysis to identify active constituents.
