What is Chatham Congregational Church History about?

Lord came, conditions were more favorable for permanent work. The town had been incorporated, the population had increased, and the people were ready to organize a church. Accordingly on June 20, 1720, the Congregational Church of Chatham was organized with 18 original members. Mr. Lord was installed as its first pastor, a relation which continued until his death in 1754. Under his wise and prudent leadership, the church grew in numbers and influence and became an established institution in the community.
