In April 1976, a book sent shock waves throughout Christendom. It was a penetrating critique on the state of the Church since the Second Vatican Council. Singled out was "Archbishop" Annibale Bugnini, Secretary of the Conciliar Congregation for Divine Worship who had presided over the fateful "reform" of the liturgy. The book unmasked Bugnini as a Freemason and there was nothing worse than being accused of being an enemy of the very Church you are sworn to defend.
