What is License Issuance Under Sec. 143 about?

The Commission will issue a license to a foreign corporation to transact business in the Philippines if the applicant has complied with all requirements. Once licensed, the foreign corporation can begin operating and will retain its license as long as it remains an entity in its home country. Within 60 days of receiving its license, the corporation must deposit securities worth at least 500,000 pesos with the Commission for the benefit of Philippine creditors, except for foreign banks and insurers.
