About this document

Efficacy Beliefs and Pro-Environmental Behavior by Fanni Kleilein is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study examines how different types of efficacy beliefs (self-efficacy vs collective efficacy, and direct vs indirect goals) predict different types of pro-environmental behavior (private, public, activist). The researchers conducted two studies. Study 1 manipulated efficacy beliefs and found that while the manipulations did not affect behavior, goal efficacy beliefs and positive affect predicted behavioral intentions. Study 2 with a larger sample replicated that self-efficacy predicted private behavior
