Claude Monet: Founder of Impressionism by Gerald Reyes Lee is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Claude Monet was a French painter and founder of impressionism. He is known for capturing landscapes and scenes in quick, spontaneous brushstrokes and focusing on how color and light interacted at different times of day. Monet lived from 1840 to 1926 and produced several series of paintings on the same subject matter but under different lighting conditions. He spent much of his later life painting his gardens at Giverny, where he hosted other impressionist painters.
