This honors thesis examines the effects of implementing a puppet-centered curriculum in the dramatic play area of a university preschool classroom. The study observed 12 preschool-aged children three times over the course of three months as they explored puppets and engaged in puppet-centered activities. Observations found that the children progressed in their language and literacy skills from a Preschool-3 level to a Preschool-4 level or beyond.
