The study assesses the ecological and socio-economic importance of indigenous multipurpose fodder trees (MPFTs) in three districts of Wolayta Zone, Southern Ethiopia. Results show that these trees provide essential benefits such as food supply, shade, traditional medicines, and income generation, although 70% of respondents were unaware of their advantages. The findings highlight the need for better awareness and management strategies to enhance the sustainable use of indigenous MPFTs.
