What is Brazilian Journal of Physical Therapy about?
The study focuses on the translation, cross-cultural adaptation, and validation of the Brazilian Portuguese version of the Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders (DC/TMD) Axis I. It involved 117 Brazilian participants and demonstrated high criterion validity and reliability for the TMD Pain Screener and other diagnostic tools. The findings indicate that the adapted version is effective for screening painful TMD and diagnosing related conditions in Brazil.
