Can I read Citric Acid Cycle and Pyruvate Metabolism on EtoBox?
Citric Acid Cycle and Pyruvate Metabolism by iMPOssiBLe is a document available to read on EtoBox.
What is Citric Acid Cycle and Pyruvate Metabolism about?
Pyruvate is converted in the mitochondria to CO2 and acetyl-CoA, which then enters the citric acid cycle. During the cycle, the acetyl group from acetyl-CoA is oxidized to produce 2 CO2, yielding 4 NADH, 1 QH2, and 1 GTP (equivalent to 1 ATP). The oxidation of pyruvate is regulated by the energy state of the cell.
