Here is a system model that could be used to represent temperature control in the human body: Inputs: Environmental temperature, food/drink temperature Process: - Skin receptors detect environmental temperature - Hypothalamus acts as the control center, monitoring core body temperature - If temperature rises too high, hypothalamus signals sweat glands to produce sweat and blood vessels in skin to dilate, releasing heat - If temperature falls too low, hypothalamus signals muscles to shiver and blood vesse
