About this document

Population Growth Limits Explained by Juan Suarez is a document available to read on EtoBox.

A population cannot grow indefinitely because resources are finite. If a population continues to grow without limits, it will eventually outpace its resources like food. Once resources are depleted, the population will crash in size and may even face extinction. For a population to be sustainable long-term, its growth must be limited by factors such as food availability, predators, and high and low reproductive seasons. This allows the population size to fluctuate in a cycle without overburdening resources.
