This document describes a new species of liverwort, Pycnolejeunea remotistipula, discovered in Brazil. Key distinguishing characteristics of P. remotistipula include its large, rectangular lobules with thick-walled free margin cells, absence of ocelli, remotely attached underleaves with rounded lobes, and rounded leaf apex.
