This article analyzes the dynamic pull-in instability of functionally graded micro-cantilevers under suddenly applied DC voltage, taking into account the fringing-field effect. The Homotopy Perturbation Method with an auxiliary term is used to obtain high-order frequency-amplitude relations. The influences of material properties and actuation voltage on dynamic pull-in behavior are then investigated.
