About this document

Composting Reduces Salinomycin in Manure by edit16 is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The document examines the effect of composting on the degradation of the veterinary pharmaceutical salinomycin in manure. Manure contaminated with salinomycin was composted and monitored over 38 days. Salinomycin levels decreased substantially more in the compost treatment compared to an untreated control. Composting also resulted in lower losses of total nitrogen and carbon compared to the control.
