Can I read The influence of calcium ions on the DNA binding behaviour of a new platinum(II) compound linked to an amino phosphonic acid on EtoBox?

The influence of calcium ions on the DNA binding behaviour of a new platinum(II) compound linked to an amino phosphonic acid by Th.J. Einhäuser; M. Galanski; E. Vogel; B.K. Keppler is a Chemistry article available to read on EtoBox.

What is The influence of calcium ions on the DNA binding behaviour of a new platinum(II) compound linked to an amino phosphonic acid about?

The binding behaviour towards DNA of the new osteotropic platinum phosphonato complex [c&P~(N&)~(BPMAA)]. 1. (BPMAA = bis( phosphonomethyl)aminoacetic acid), has been investigated. The slow hydrolysiskineticsof I andthelow ~~~~~ in vitro is in contrast to the antitumour activity found in vivo. This strongly suggests an activation mechanism facilitating the form&on ofan adduct with DNA, The fact that a dramatic increase in the binding rate can be observed in the presence of Ca\*' ions and the fact that there is an increased calcium concentration in the region of bone tumours may explain the antitumour activity of 1 against bone tumours.

Who reads The influence of calcium ions on the DNA binding behaviour of a new platinum(II) compound linked to an amino phosphonic acid?

It is typically read by researchers, students, and practitioners in Chemistry.
