This study assessed the knowledge and practice of sterile technique among 64 operating room nurses in a tertiary hospital in South India. A descriptive study was conducted using a knowledge questionnaire and practice checklist developed by the investigator. The results found that 6.25% of nurses had excellent knowledge, 54.69% had very good knowledge, and the majority (68.75%) had adequate practice of sterile technique. There was a weak negative correlation between knowledge and practice. The study conclude
