What is Toothpick Bridge Design Challenge about?

The project challenges students to build bridges out of toothpicks or Popsicle sticks that can hold over 100 times their own mass. Students must create blueprints for 3 initial bridges, analyze the blueprints to predict strength, test the bridges, then build 2 more bridges incorporating lessons learned. The goal is to accurately predict which of the remaining 3 bridges will hold the most weight.
