Derince Dam is a rare concrete face sand-gravel rock fill dam located in Muğla Province, Turkey. It was originally planned as an earth-core rockfill dam, but its design was changed to a concrete face dam due to lack of impervious materials and heavy rainfall. Construction began in 2011 and was completed in 2014. Derince Dam is 52 meters high and impounds a reservoir with a capacity of 21.96 cubic hectometers.
