The West Duwamish Trail project aims to extend an existing multi-use trail from 2nd Ave S and S Holden Street south to the Duwamish River. The extension would create a connection between the Burke Gilman Trail to the north and the Green River Trail to the south. The project goals are to provide a paved 10-foot wide multi-use trail through the industrial area with access to the Duwamish River Preserve, accommodate truck traffic, and create an amenity for local residents, workers and visitors.
