This study investigated the biosorption of copper (Cu2+) from aqueous solutions using seven types of marine seaweeds collected from the northwest coast of India as biosorbents. Batch experiments were conducted to determine the effect of pH, metal concentration, contact time, and biomass dosage on Cu2+ removal. The maximum Cu2+ uptake of 60.97 mg/g was achieved for Ulva lactuca at pH 5 and biomass dosage of 10 g/L.
