A 14-year-old girl developed cerebral haemorrhage following treatment with aspirin for stroke prevention. The girl, who had a history of trisomy 21 with moyamoya disease and tracheostomy for obstructive sleep apnoea, underwent bilateral encephaloduroarteriosynangiosis. She had been receiving aspirin [route and dosage not stated] for stroke prevention. Subsequently, she was found unresponsive at home and admitted to the hospital. Her glasgow coma scale score was 3 with fixed and dilated pupils. A CT scan showed dense acute haemorrhage throughout both the lateral, third and fourth ventricles and signs of elevated intracranial pressure and coning. The girl underwent drainage of the haemorrhage with poor prognosis. Subsequently, she was shifted to the hospice for palliative care. It was considered that she had cerebral haemorrhage due to aspirin [duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated].
