This document selects cable sizes for connecting solar modules to string combiner boxes (SCBs) and from SCBs to inverters. 1C x 6 sqmm copper cable is chosen for runs up to 30m from modules to SCBs, allowing less than 0.5% voltage drop. 1C x 300 sqmm aluminum cable is selected for average 260m runs from SCBs to inverters, with calculated voltage drop below 1.1%. Cable sizing ensures adequate current capacity while meeting design limits of less than 1.5% total voltage drop from modules to inverters.
