What is Appealing to the Competition Act Tribunal about?

The Competition Act tribunal (CAT) may hear appeals from three parties: any party to an agreement that the OFT has made a decision about; any person whose conduct the OFT has made a decision concerning; or any third party with a sufficient interest in an OFT decision, except regarding penalties. The CAT has broad powers to confirm, set aside, remit, impose, revoke or vary OFT decisions and penalties. It can also make decisions the OFT could have made.
