This study experimentally investigates the gravitational erosion process of vegetation slopes under freeze-thaw cycles. Field tests were conducted on slopes with different vegetation covers in Hokkaido, Japan over four freeze-thaw cycles. The temperature, frost depth, frost heave amount, and slope movement were dynamically monitored. Results showed the erosion process was gradual and irreversible, with periodic fluctuations in movement. Maximum movement after four cycles was -13.1 cm for spray-seeded slopes
