What is Treatment Possibility of RapidArc Patients on Different Linacs without New Dosimetry about?
CTV2 was the contrast enhancing tumor with 15 mm margin and CTV3 was the Vasogenic Edema plus 5 mm margins. As patients were irradiated on tomotherapy unit with daily MV-CT image guidance, no additional margins was added to the CTV and in consequence the PTV's (Planning Target Volumes) were equal to the CTV's. A hypofractionated and accelerated regimen of radiation was used and evaluated with the following prescription: PTV1 received a total dose of 60 Gy in 15 fractions (4 Gy/fraction), PTV2 received a dose of 48 Gy in 15 fractions (3.2 Gy/fraction) and PTV3 received a dose of 40.5 Gy in 15 fractions (2.7Gy/fraction). Normal structures such as Brain, Brainstem, Optic Chiasm, Optic Nerves, Orbit and Lenses were defined. The late effects ''dose equivalent 2 Gy per fraction'' of this hypofractionated regimen have been estimated by using the linear quadratic model. Dosimetric data are reported in a descriptive way using the median values (min-max). Homogeneity index (HI: dose max/dose prescribed), coverage index (CI: dose min/dose prescribed) and a conformation number using the Van't Riet formula have been calculated for the PTV1. Results: The median volume of PTV 60 was 54 cc (12.1-1
