What is Proceedings of the 2010 Spring Simulation Multiconference on - SpringSim '10 - Application of the GRAMS reference model for agent-based modeling and simulation to a warehouse scenario about?

In order to meet the continuously increasing requirements regarding complexity, level of detail, and size of agent-based models on the one hand and an efficient modeling and execution on the other hand, a general reference model for agentbased modeling and simulation (GRAMS) was motivated and described in [10]. This paper summarizes briefly the GRAMS reference model and goes on to provide a first, complete example application of this reference model. To demonstrate and evaluate the applicability of the reference model, a simplified warehouse scenario is chosen, and modeled according to the definitions made by the GRAMS reference model. Regarding this first evaluation, the GRAMS reference model can be applied in a very natural way without imposing any unnecessary or limiting constraints and seems very promising.
