What is Black-winged Kites vs. Peregrine Falcon about?

The letter describes an observation of aggressive nest defense behavior by a pair of Black-winged Kites against a Peregrine Falcon in West Java, Indonesia. The kites drove off the falcon on two separate attacks, chasing it away from their nesting territory. Local birdwatchers reported this was the third observed instance of the kites defending their nest in this manner against a Peregrine Falcon.
