Chaudhry Khaliquzzaman held several important career positions in Pakistan, including President of Muslim League (Pakistan) from 1948 to 1950, Governor of East Pakistan from 1953 to 1954, and Ambassador of Pakistan to Indonesia and the Philippines in 1954. He was a prominent Muslim League leader and one of the founding fathers of Pakistan. He played a key role in the Pakistan movement and seconded the 1940 Lahore Resolution which called for the creation of Pakistan.
