Waltham, MA -Mira Inc. announces new, improved diathermy electrodes (see photograph) for intraocular and anterior segment surgery. All electrodes are reusable and feature improved coatings that withstand flash autoclaving, as well as color-coded caps for easy identification in the operating room. The new electrode handles are matte black with a nonskid grip. Electrodes include aspiration and infusion instruments, the TR3134 for anterior chamber procedures, the TR3136 Simmons-Savage electrode for glaucoma procedures, and the TR4310 Hirose intraocular electrode for ablating pigment epithelium.
