What is Influence of Electroporation about?

This study investigates the effects of electroporation on matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) activity in human malignant glioma cells (U251MG) using pulsed electric fields. It was found that applying electric fields between 0.3 and 1.15 kV/cm significantly reduced MMP activity, while higher intensities increased enzyme activity but compromised cell viability. The recommended field strength for optimal biochemical stress during electroporation is 0.85 kV/cm.
