What is F420H2:quinone oxidoreductase Structure about?

The F420H2:quinone oxidoreductase enzyme from Archaeoglobus fulgidus was studied. The fqoF gene, which encodes the F420H2-oxidizing subunit, was overexpressed in E. coli. The purified FqoF subunit was able to oxidize reduced cofactor F420 using electron acceptors. Analysis found the subunit contains non-heme iron, acid-labile sulfur, and FAD. Based on homology to other enzymes, it is proposed that the F420H2:quinone oxidoreductase functions similarly to complex I and is involved in energy conservation via e
