On February 4th, sororities at Susquehanna University will welcome new members during an event called Bid Day. As part of spring semester Greek Panhel Sorority Recruitment, students participate in recruitment events throughout the week before receiving bids on Preference Night. On Bid Day, new members will run down University Avenue to meet their new sisters, continuing a tradition that has been held since the 1950s. Each sorority is expected to gain around 15 new members during this recruitment period.
