The FD2000 beam smoke detector uses an infrared transmitter and receiver to detect smoke in large areas up to 1500 sqm from 10-100m away and up to 25m in height. The control unit processes the signal and can be mounted at ground level while the transmitter and receiver are mounted higher. It has adjustable sensitivity levels to reduce false alarms and detects smoke obstruction between 8-10 seconds.
