What is Final Assessment Rubric for Essays about?

This rubric evaluates student responses to essay-type questions on a final assessment. It assesses the response based on 4 criteria: relevance to the question, level of content, organization and logic, and mechanics of writing. Each criterion is scored out of a maximum number of points, with descriptors provided for performance levels that would earn points in certain ranges. The total points across all criteria are summed to calculate the overall grade, out of a maximum of 100 points.
