What is Renal Trauma: 5-Year Review Insights about?

This study analyzed 68 cases of renal trauma in Makassar, Indonesia from 2014-2018. The majority were male (83.8%) with an average age of 23.9 years. Blunt trauma from traffic accidents accounted for most cases (89.7%, 72.1%). Grade IV injuries were most common (42.6%) and managed primarily with non-operative management (77.9%). Isolated renal injuries occurred in 58.8% of cases. The overall mortality rate was low (2.9%) due to associated injuries in other organs.
