About this document

UV Radiation Penetration in Norwegian Fjords by Matthias Birkicht is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study investigates the variability of UV radiation penetration in the Samnanger fjord, Norway, and compares the performance of different underwater radiometers. Results showed significant variation in diffuse attenuation coefficients, particularly influenced by colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM), with discrepancies in measurements between instruments ranging from 20 to 40%. The findings highlight the need for improved measurement techniques in underwater UV studies to reduce uncertainties.
