What is Addressing Exposed Node Problem in WLAN about?

This document discusses the exposed node problem in IEEE 802.11 wireless networks and proposes a solution. It begins by explaining the physical layer impact of interference range and the hidden and exposed terminal problems. It then proposes a solution that involves maintaining neighborhood information, identifying exposed nodes, processing timing information, synchronizing ACK transmissions, and scheduling exposed node DATA transmissions. Simulation results show performance increases in multi-hop scenarios
