About this document

Lipoma Histology Overview by Susanth Alapati is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Lipoma is a benign tumor made up of mature fat cells arranged in circumscribed masses. Under the microscope, the fat cells appear as clear cells with peripherally located nuclei divided into pockets by variable collagen fibers running through the lesion. Vascularity is occasionally seen and if significant fibrous tissue is present, it is called a fibrolipoma.
