Can I read Spatial Distribution of Organochlorine in Fully-bleached Kraft Pulp Fibres on EtoBox?

Spatial Distribution of Organochlorine in Fully-bleached Kraft Pulp Fibres by Zheng Tan; Douglas W. Reeve is a Engineering article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Spatial Distribution of Organochlorine in Fully-bleached Kraft Pulp Fibres about?

Imaging secondary ion mass spectrometry has been used to show the spatial distribution of inextractable organochlorine in fully-bleached softwood kraft fibres. Inextractable, or pulp-bound, chlorine was present over the entire fibre surface and throughout the fibre cross-section. On the fibre outer surface, chlorine concentration was higher in some small areas. In cross-section, chlorine was enriched in the middle of the secondary wall. The heterogeneous nature of pulpbound organochlorine distribution has implications for the fibre chemistry and ultrastructure.
