Can I read Magnetic structures of UNiAl in magnetic fields on EtoBox?
Magnetic structures of UNiAl in magnetic fields by K Prokeš; F Bourdarot; P Burlet; M Olšovec; V Sechovský; P Javorský; E Brück; A Goukassov; F.R de Boer; A.A Menovsky is a Physics and Astronomy article available to read on EtoBox.
What is Magnetic structures of UNiAl in magnetic fields about?
UNiAl orders antiferromagnetically (AF) below 1 , "19.3 K with a propagation vector q"(0.1, 0.1, 0.5). o moments oriented along the c-axis of the hexagonal structure are modulated sinusoidally within the basal plane with an amplitude of 1.24 /U. The magnetic structure consists of three o moments (o , o , o ) coupled ferromagnetically within the basal plane. o and o are substantially larger than o and invariant with field, whereas o becomes enhanced in a field along c. The vector q remains intact in fields lower than the critical metamagnetic field (B "11.4 T at 1.5 K). Above B , UNiAl orders ferromagnetically with equal U moments of 0.91 in 11.8 T at 1.7 K. When decreasing field below B , the original propagation vector is lost and a new AF structure with q"(0.17, 0.03, 0.5) is established. The original q is recovered only by warming far above 1 , and subsequent zero-field cooling.
