This study evaluates the efficacy and safety of peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) for treating esophageal diverticula in patients with underlying motility disorders. Out of 17 patients, treatment success was achieved in 68.8%, with significant reductions in Eckardt scores and diverticula size post-procedure. The findings suggest that POEM is a safe and effective alternative to traditional surgical methods for managing esophageal diverticula.
