On April 12, 1999, a team from the Federation Commission on Missing Persons - Croat Side organized an investigation of Japaga Cave, a site suspected of containing the remains of missing persons from Bugojno. A team of four Croatian speleologists descended into the cave and searched its two passages but found only animal bones and no human remains. They reported their findings to the Commission president, who then ended the investigation.
