This document summarizes research on analyzing bolted beam-to-column connections using finite element analysis. Full-scale tests were conducted on five beam-to-column connections under various loading conditions. Finite element models were developed and showed good correlation with test results. Both the tests and models highlighted stresses in the beam web and compression flange and failures due to these stresses exceeding design capacities.
