About this document
Polymorphic Eruption of Pregnancy Study by Leandro Quito is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This case-control study examined 200 pregnant women, 40 with polymorphic eruption of pregnancy (PEP) and 160 without skin diseases as controls. The study found that in multivariate analysis, pregnancy with male fetuses and delivery by cesarean section were associated with PEP. A tendency toward more multiple gestation pregnancies in the PEP group was also observed. The risk of PEP was not related to excessive maternal or fetal weight gain.
