Filling scales are used to automatically move empty gas cylinders onto a scale to be filled and then move full cylinders back onto the conveyor line. Filling scales come in different forms but generally allow the operator to manually set the tare weight and fill quantity either directly at the scale or through a control console. Manual mechanical heads are also used for top filling valves to fill smaller quantities of around 20 cylinders.
