Canalicular adenoma is a benign salivary gland tumor that most commonly occurs in the upper lip of individuals in their 70s. Microscopically, it appears as a well-circumscribed nodule composed of basaloid cells arranged in cords and tubules surrounded by sparse connective tissue. While typically slow-growing and painless, complete surgical excision is required for treatment since recurrence is possible if not fully removed.
